According to the World Bank, in 2007, the top 3 African countries with high net exports of goods and services in current US$ (i.e. total exports of goods and services in current US$ minus total imports of goods and services in current US$) are: Algeria (29.96B US$), Libya (29.15B US$), and Angola (18.11B US$).

Conversely, in 2007, the top 3 African countries with high net imports of goods and services in current US$ (i.e. total imports of goods and services in current US$ minus total exports of goods and services in current US$ ) are: Morocco (7.39B US$), Egypt (5.97B US$), and Ghana (4.05B US$).

The World Bank defines exports of goods and services as "the value of all goods and other market services provided to the rest of the world" , and defines imports of goods and services as "the value of all goods and other market services received from the rest of the world".
