According to the World Bank, in 2011, the top 3 African countries with high net exports of goods and services in current US$ (i.e. total exports of goods and services in current US$ minus total imports of goods and services in current US$) are: Nigeria (41.26B US$), Angola (23.37B US$), and Algeria (20.20B US$).

Conversely, in 2011, the top 3 African countries with high net imports of goods and services in current US$ (i.e. total imports of goods and services in current US$ minus total exports of goods and services in current US$ ) are: Morocco (14.22B US$), Egypt (9.73B US$), and Kenya (7.17B US$).

The World Bank defines exports of goods and services as "the value of all goods and other market services provided to the rest of the world" , and defines imports of goods and services as "the value of all goods and other market services received from the rest of the world".
