Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Alaska was 10.43%.

By Race: The American Indian & Alaska Native Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Alaska (23.63%), followed by Native Hawaiian & Pac. Islander Alone (16.79%), and Black Alone (11.34%). The racial group with the lowest poverty rate was White Alone (7.23%).

By Ethnicity: The poverty rate of the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group was (10.01%), and that of the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group was (7.18%).
