By Race: The Black Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in California (19.24%), followed by American Indian & Alaska Native Alone (16.74%), and Some Other Race Alone (16.53%). The racial group with the lowest poverty rate was Asian Alone (9.85%).
By Ethnicity: The poverty rate of the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group was (15.54%), and that of the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group was (8.69%).
