Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Nebraska was 10.29%. Among all Nebraska cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Beatrice city had the highest poverty rate (20.79%), followed by Kearney city (15.53%), and Scottsbluff city (15.4%). On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had the lowest poverty rate: Papillion city (4.81%), Chalco CDP (5.54%), and La Vista city (6.07%).
