Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for New York was 13.45%. Among all New York cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Monsey CDP had the highest poverty rate (46.15%), followed by Kiryas Joel village (40.54%), and Ithaca city (34.51%). On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had the lowest poverty rate: Terryville CDP (1.42%), North Wantagh CDP (1.79%), and Seaford CDP (1.79%).
