Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Rhode Island was 11.26%. Among all Rhode Island cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Central Falls city had the highest poverty rate (24.92%), followed by Providence city (21.5%), and Woonsocket city (18.68%). On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had the lowest poverty rate: Westerly CDP (5.46%), Valley Falls CDP (6.39%), and Warwick city (7.15%).
