Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for California was 12.25%. Among all California counties, Trinity County had the highest poverty rate (22.48%), followed by Imperial County (21.04%), and Humboldt County (20.26%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: San Mateo County (6.17%), Santa Clara County (6.65%), and Marin County (6.94%).
