Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Hawaii was 9.45%. Among all Hawaii counties, Kalawao County had the highest poverty rate (20.93%), followed by Hawaii County (13.79%), and Maui County (9.49%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Honolulu County (8.6%), Kauai County (9.15%), and Maui County (9.49%).
