Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Massachusetts was 9.9%. Among all Massachusetts counties, Suffolk County had the highest poverty rate (17.26%), followed by Hampden County (15.87%), and Bristol County (10.97%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Nantucket County (5.98%), Norfolk County (6.25%), and Plymouth County (6.53%).
