Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Michigan was 13.3%. Among all Michigan counties, Isabella County had the highest poverty rate (23.78%), followed by Clare County (23.66%), and Wayne County (20.5%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Livingston County (5.09%), Leelanau County (6.43%), and Oakland County (7.57%).
