Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for New Mexico was 18.33%. Among all New Mexico counties, McKinley County had the highest poverty rate (34.04%), followed by Socorro County (32.26%), and Cibola County (27.86%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Los Alamos County (4.2%), Sandoval County (10.28%), and Santa Fe County (12.26%).
