Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Washington was 9.99%. Among all Washington counties, Whitman County had the highest poverty rate (24.68%), followed by Adams County (20.85%), and Okanogan County (20.15%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Snohomish County (7.32%), Island County (7.64%), and Kitsap County (7.97%).
