The occupation with the highest number of employed female civilians (16 years and over) was Registered nurses (2,967,153 people), followed by Elementary and middle school teachers (2,659,911 people), Secretaries and administrative assistants, except legal, medical, and executive (2,339,575 people) and Cashiers (2,268,955 people).
