Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Alabama was 15.79%. Among all Alabama cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Prichard city had the highest poverty rate (30.11%), followed by Eufaula city (29.7%), and Selma city (29.41%). On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had the lowest poverty rate: Chelsea city (3.04%), Trussville city (3.74%), and Vestavia Hills city (3.84%).
