Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Delaware was 11.44%. Among all Delaware cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Newark city had the highest poverty rate (26.08%), followed by Wilmington city (24.01%), and Dover city (20.47%). On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had the lowest poverty rate: Hockessin CDP (2%), Middletown town (7.35%), and Glasgow CDP (7.4%).
