Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, 49,481 out of 249,599 MS Congressional District 2 households received Food Stamps or SNAP in the last 12 months (i.e. 19.82% of MS Congressional District 2 households).

By Race: As a percentage of the total number of households that received SNAP or Food Stamps, the Black Alone racial group constituted 87.49%; the White Alone racial group constituted 10.90%, and the Two or More Races racial group constituted 0.85%.

By Ethnicity: As a percentage of the total number of households that received Food Stamps or SNAP, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group constituted 10.71%, and the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group constituted 0.66%.
