Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, 274,294 out of 2,683,557 Arizona households received Food Stamps or SNAP in the last 12 months (i.e. 10.22% of Arizona households).

By Race: As a percentage of the total number of households that received SNAP or Food Stamps, the White Alone racial group constituted 61.11%; the Two or More Races racial group constituted 11.12%, and the American Indian & Alaska Native Alone racial group constituted 9.16%.

By Ethnicity: As a percentage of the total number of households that received Food Stamps or SNAP, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group constituted 39.32%, and the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group constituted 40.50%.

Percentage of Each Racial Group's Households that Received SNAP: 8.18% of White Alone households received Food Stamps or SNAP; 15.00% of Two or More Races households received SNAP; and 28.49% of American Indian & Alaska Native Alone households received SNAP.
