According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2014 Q2 was $940. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,570), followed by Massachusetts ($1,157), and Connecticut ($1,154).

On the other hand, Idaho had the lowest average weekly wage ($697), followed by Mississippi ($705), and South Dakota ($712).
