According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2016 Q4 was $1,067. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,764), followed by Massachusetts ($1,352), and New York ($1,342).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($756), followed by Idaho ($800), and West Virginia ($809).
