According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 Q4, the average weekly wage for Alabama was $738. Among all Alabama counties, Madison County had the highest average weekly wage ($893), followed by Washington County ($871), and Jefferson County ($870).

On the other hand, Geneva County had the lowest average weekly wage ($477), followed by Perry County ($492), and Randolph County ($525).
