According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q4, the average weekly wage for Illinois was $827. Among all Illinois counties, Lake County had the highest average weekly wage ($976), followed by DuPage County ($923), and Cook County ($922).

On the other hand, Pope County had the lowest average weekly wage ($393), followed by Greene County ($408), and Henderson County ($410).
