According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2007 Q1, the average weekly wage for Iowa was $685. Among all Iowa counties, Polk County had the highest average weekly wage ($886), followed by Linn County ($815), and Dallas County ($780).

On the other hand, Wayne County had the lowest average weekly wage ($445), followed by Monona County ($459), and Decatur County ($460).
