According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q1, the average weekly wage for Iowa was $708. Among all Iowa counties, Polk County had the highest average weekly wage ($891), followed by Dallas County ($833), and Linn County ($825).

On the other hand, Adair County had the lowest average weekly wage ($492), followed by Audubon County ($496), and Monona County ($498).
