According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q4, the average weekly wage for Iowa was $771. Among all Iowa counties, Polk County had the highest average weekly wage ($931), followed by Linn County ($885), and Black Hawk County ($859).

On the other hand, Decatur County had the lowest average weekly wage ($511), followed by Taylor County ($565), and Wayne County ($567).
