According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 Q1, the average weekly wage for Kentucky was $672. Among all Kentucky counties, Hancock County had the highest average weekly wage ($977), followed by Gallatin County ($900), and Scott County ($850).

On the other hand, Owsley County had the lowest average weekly wage ($420), followed by Carlisle County ($423), and Cumberland County ($426).
