According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q1, the average weekly wage for Louisiana was $581. Among all Louisiana counties, St. Charles Parish had the highest average weekly wage ($862), followed by Iberville Parish ($803), and West Feliciana Parish ($787).

On the other hand, Franklin Parish had the lowest average weekly wage ($361), followed by Catahoula Parish ($364), and West Carroll Parish ($367).
