According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q3, the average weekly wage for Maine was $689. Among all Maine counties, Sagadahoc County had the highest average weekly wage ($808), followed by Cumberland County ($772), and Kennebec County ($690).

On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest average weekly wage ($534), followed by Lincoln County ($542), and Washington County ($564).
