According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q1, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $522. Among all Mississippi counties, Claiborne County had the highest average weekly wage ($784), followed by Lawrence County ($688), and Hancock County ($678).

On the other hand, Issaquena County had the lowest average weekly wage ($309), followed by Montgomery County ($351), and Leake County ($367).
