According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q3, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $521. Among all Mississippi counties, Claiborne County had the highest average weekly wage ($719), followed by Hancock County ($661), and Lawrence County ($648).

On the other hand, Issaquena County had the lowest average weekly wage ($359), followed by Walthall County ($364), and Humphreys County ($365).
