According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 Q2, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $588. Among all Mississippi counties, Hancock County had the highest average weekly wage ($870), followed by Claiborne County ($851), and Jackson County ($706).

On the other hand, Issaquena County had the lowest average weekly wage ($389), followed by Humphreys County ($400), and Montgomery County ($421).
