According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 Q3, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $585. Among all Mississippi counties, Claiborne County had the highest average weekly wage ($817), followed by Hancock County ($803), and Hinds County ($697).

On the other hand, Humphreys County had the lowest average weekly wage ($402), followed by Issaquena County ($411), and Montgomery County ($414).
