According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q1, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $633. Among all Mississippi counties, Claiborne County had the highest average weekly wage ($879), followed by Hancock County ($821), and Jackson County ($819).

On the other hand, Issaquena County had the lowest average weekly wage ($412), followed by Humphreys County ($437), and Montgomery County ($442).
