According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q3, the average weekly wage for Mississippi was $635. Among all Mississippi counties, Claiborne County had the highest average weekly wage ($838), followed by Jackson County ($817), and Hancock County ($810).

On the other hand, Issaquena County had the lowest average weekly wage ($401), followed by Humphreys County ($430), and Montgomery County ($454).
