According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q3, the average weekly wage for New Mexico was $565. Among all New Mexico counties, Los Alamos County had the highest average weekly wage ($774), followed by Sandoval County ($664), and Bernalillo County ($648).

On the other hand, Hidalgo County had the lowest average weekly wage ($297), followed by Luna County ($335), and De Baca County ($361).
