According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q2, the average weekly wage for North Carolina was $621. Among all North Carolina counties, Durham County had the highest average weekly wage ($898), followed by Mecklenburg County ($808), and Wake County ($716).
On the other hand, Pamlico County had the lowest average weekly wage ($394), followed by Hyde County ($399), and Currituck County ($401).
