According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2004 Q2, the average weekly wage for North Carolina was $639. Among all North Carolina counties, Durham County had the highest average weekly wage ($918), followed by Mecklenburg County ($838), and Orange County ($734).
On the other hand, Hyde County had the lowest average weekly wage ($391), followed by Alleghany County ($407), and Pamlico County ($407).
