According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2005 Q2, the average weekly wage for North Carolina was $665. Among all North Carolina counties, Durham County had the highest average weekly wage ($983), followed by Mecklenburg County ($878), and Wake County ($753).
On the other hand, Pamlico County had the lowest average weekly wage ($414), followed by Avery County ($427), and Alleghany County ($428).
