According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2014 Q1, the average weekly wage for North Carolina was $913. Among all North Carolina counties, Mecklenburg County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.38K), followed by Durham County ($1.37K), and Forsyth County ($1.02K).

On the other hand, Yancey County had the lowest average weekly wage ($515), followed by Tyrrell County ($519), and Pamlico County ($520).
