According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2004 Q4, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $581. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($927), followed by Minnehaha County ($663), and Lincoln County ($610).

On the other hand, McPherson County had the lowest average weekly wage ($333), followed by Campbell County ($390), and Sanborn County ($398).
