According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2010 Q3, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $660. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($831), followed by Minnehaha County ($761), and Lincoln County ($723).

On the other hand, Jones County had the lowest average weekly wage ($422), followed by Mellette County ($432), and Jackson County ($442).
