According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2013 Q1, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $709. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($840), followed by Minnehaha County ($809), and Lincoln County ($787).

On the other hand, Mellette County had the lowest average weekly wage ($413), followed by McPherson County ($462), and Bennett County ($485).
