According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2014 Q1, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $741. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($868), followed by Minnehaha County ($850), and Lincoln County ($808).

On the other hand, Mellette County had the lowest average weekly wage ($431), followed by McPherson County ($480), and Bennett County ($499).
