According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2014 Q2, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $712. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($899), followed by Minnehaha County ($795), and Lincoln County ($784).

On the other hand, Mellette County had the lowest average weekly wage ($452), followed by Jones County ($468), and Lyman County ($476).
