According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2016 Q2, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $759. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($903), followed by Lincoln County ($863), and Minnehaha County ($847).

On the other hand, Mellette County had the lowest average weekly wage ($496), followed by Jackson County ($514), and Jones County ($519).
