According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2019 Q3, the average weekly wage for South Dakota was $856. Among all South Dakota counties, Union County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.03K), followed by Lincoln County ($999), and Minnehaha County ($946).

On the other hand, Mellette County had the lowest average weekly wage ($521), followed by Jones County ($547), and Lyman County ($574).
