According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2004 Q2, the average weekly wage for Tennessee was $648. Among all Tennessee counties, Roane County had the highest average weekly wage ($787), followed by Anderson County ($772), and Shelby County ($739).

On the other hand, Hancock County had the lowest average weekly wage ($386), followed by Lewis County ($412), and Lake County ($413).
