According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 Q4, the average weekly wage for Vermont was $708. Among all Vermont counties, Chittenden County had the highest average weekly wage ($825), followed by Washington County ($691), and Franklin County ($690).
On the other hand, Essex County had the lowest average weekly wage ($547), followed by Grand Isle County ($550), and Orleans County ($555).
