According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 Q1, the average weekly wage for Vermont was $719. Among all Vermont counties, Chittenden County had the highest average weekly wage ($869), followed by Washington County ($730), and Addison County ($692).

On the other hand, Essex County had the lowest average weekly wage ($467), followed by Orleans County ($557), and Lamoille County ($573).
