According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2005 Q4, the average weekly wage for Virginia was $855. Among all Virginia counties, Goochland County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.58K), followed by Arlington County ($1.35K), and Fairfax County ($1.25K).

On the other hand, Highland County had the lowest average weekly wage ($405), followed by Mathews County ($463), and Emporia city ($467).
